To me, that’s the point. People use these reasonable-sounding requests or statements as “cover stories” for their often-unreasonable ulterior motivations BECAUSE they SOUND so freaking reasonable. That’s what makes a good cover story. So, it’s beside the point to say there can be good reasons for demanding a guy get tested, or numerous other thins people say to justify their demands or beliefs.. The “good reason” is often not the driving reason. Too bad we can’t go back to the good old days when you could just say “Why? Because god demands it” and that was good enough. Now, you have to back-up your unreasonable fears and demands for attention with ridiculous sociological studies about STD’s.
